Obituary of Bruno Scala

Bruno Scala, age 61, of Ward Hill, passed away on January 24, 2018. He was the beloved son of Grazia Scala and the late Luigi. He was the loving brother of Giuseppe, Aldo, Rita Ritorto and her husband Frank, Sergio and his wife Jo-Ann, Mauro, Robert and his wife Andrea and Silvana Sheherlis and her husband Jack. He was the dear uncle of Joseph and Robert Ritorto, Vincent Scala, the late Luigi A., Gabriella and Sergio L. Scala, Amanda and Melena Scala, Nicholas, Christian and Grazia Sheherlis.

Bruno graduated from the City College of New York with a Bachelor's Degree in electrical engineering. He can be described as an outdoorsman who loved nature and was passionate about photography. He loved spending time with his family especially around the holidays. His hobbies included traveling, fishing and spending quality time with his nieces and nephews. He will be remembered as a selfless and kind hearted man and he will be deeply missed.

Funeral Service from the Matthew Funeral Home, Inc., 2508 Victory Boulevard, on Monday, 1/29/18, departing at 9:15 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Our Lady of Good Counsel Church at 10:00 AM. An interment will follow in St.Peter's Cemetery. Family and friends may visit on Sunday, 1/28/18 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 7:00 to 9:00 PM.
