Obituary of Elide Trezza

Mrs. Elide Trezza (nee Stepancic), age 62, of New Springville, passed away peacefully on January 26, 2018 at home. She was the beloved wife of Anthony for 37 years; loving mother of Tara Trezza, and Christine Trezza-Anderson and her husband, David; dear sister of Claudio Stepancic and his wife Nevia; loving daughter of the late Albino and Maria Stepancic; devoted daughter-in-law of Rosalie and the late Alexander Trezza; dear sister-in-law of Anelle Mancuso, Lenny Mancuso, Alexander Trezza, Patricia Trezza; Jacqueline Sax, Thomas Sax, Ernest Trezza, Denise Trezza. She was also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Elide was born on May 28, 1955 in Labin, Istria, Croatia and was raised there until the age of twelve, when she emigrated to the States, settling in Astoria, Queens. She moved to Staten Island in 1988 with her husband Anthony, settling in the New Springville neighborhood. She was employed for many years in her family business as the C.F.O. Elide also held a Real Estate License. She thoroughly enjoyed, cooking and spending time with her loving family, especially her children.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the American Heart Association.

Funeral from the Matthew Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 2508 Victory Boulevard, on Tuesday, 10:00 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Pity R.C. Church, time 10:30 AM. Committal service will be private. Family and friends are invited to visit on Sunday from 6 to 9 pm and Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 10 pm.
