Obituary of Peter Dorval

Peter Dorval, age73, passed away peacefully on March 10, 2018 at Richmond University Medical Center. He was the beloved husband of Elaine Dorval (Scotti); loving father of Alexis Pires and her husband, Anthony, Nicole Ruggiero, Heather McCurdy and her husband, Jimmy and Daren Dorval and his wife, Connie; fond stepfather of Lawrence Scotti and Karen Langell and her husband, Tim, and Dawn Neville and her husband, Jerry; cherished grandfather of Madison Pires, Gianna Pires, Chase McCurdy; devoted step-grandfather of Emily Scotti, Jeana Scotti, Nicholas Scotti, Lawrence G. Scotti, Viviana Scotti, Alexandra Langell, Nicholas Langell, Samantha Langell, and Ryan Neville, and dear brother of Yvette Ascarino. Peter was born in the Bronx in 1944. He was employed for many years as a mechanic. In his spare time he enjoyed snow skiing, hunting, golfing, travelling, and sailing. Peter was also a member of the Richmond County Yacht Club. Previously he was a member of the Staten Island Ski Club. Funeral from the Matthew Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 2508 Victory Boulevard, on Thursday, departing at 10 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Child R.C. Church at 11 am. Family and friends will be received on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Arrangements include private cremation.
