Obituary of William Dalton

William (Billy) Dalton, 63, passed away on Friday January 3^rd, 2025, surrounded by the family he loved and who adored him.  Billy was predeceased by his mom Dolores, dad John as well as his brother Jackie.  He is survived by his sisters Louise and Elizabeth, and two brothers Timothy (Wife Lynne) and Jamie. 

Uncle Billy is also survived by his loving nieces and nephews, John, Joseph, Peter, Robert, Matthew, Jamie, Patrick, Elizabeth and Conor (Godfather to).  He also had many Great nieces and nephews Joseph III, Anthony, Ryan (Godfather to), Raymond, Brandon, Megan, Robert, Micheal, Jenna, James, Riley, Peter Jr, Giovanna, Matthew, Nicholas and Vincent.

Billy was a devout catholic and enjoyed sharing his beliefs with his loved ones.  He frequently gifted us with sentimental items that held religious meaning to him. Whether it was a carved wooden cross, a medallion of St Christopher for your car, or a bracelet representing all the Saints.  He regularly attended services at Holy Family Church in Westerleigh, Staten Island where he befriended Rev. Angelo J. Micciulla- Pastor. 

Billy had a very successful career at the College of Staten Island for over 30+ years where he served as a College Assistant from 1988 to 2009 and then Campus Security, Assistant Director from 2009 until he retired in February 2022.   

While working for CSI, Billy earned an Associate’s Degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences in 2001 and then later achieved a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Anthropology.

He also was a regular member of LA fitness on Forest Avenue where he made many friends over the years.

Visitation will be at Matthew Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 7th from 4:00pm- 8:00pm.
