Our deepest sympathies go out to you two boys, John and Thomas, and your families. I know from your Dad, John Sr., how much your families meant to your Mom, Rita. He often spoke about her caring for your children and enjoying them so very much. Frank Sikorsky and Paula Wypych.

I will always remember my Aunt Rita as the kindest soul. She never had a bad word to say about anyone. She helped me move out of my first apartment, and I was so clueless , so, that was no small deal. But no guilt, just it's ok Dee, don't worry . Aunt Rita and Uncle John hosted more holidays than I could count. We could never replicate those days but I wish we could. She stepped in when my mom wasn't able to. Speaking at my oldest son's wedding. She loved her family and friends. She adored her brother Gerard, my dad, and always needed to know he was ok. I would love to be remembered the way I will always remember her, as someone who was kind, loving and took care of her family and friends. Rest in much deserved peace. Will never forget you. Love Dee

I remember Rita Dunleavy very well. Dear friend of mine and my late husband Brian for many years. Our kids grew up together and we bought the house next door to them in 1980. Rita was generous, kind, funny, and a good support to her late hubby John and wonderful mom to her two sons. She is in my heart forever. Jane Mulraney
