Obituary of Santo Collora
Santo Collora, 55, of Westerleigh, passed away peacefully on January 31, 2025. He was the beloved son of Stanley and Beatrice Collora, dear brother of Anthony (Christine); cherished uncle of Regan and Connor.
Mr. Collora was born in Brooklyn and moved with his family to Staten Island as an infant. He attended and graduated from St. Peter's High School, and furthered his education at St. Francis College, in Brooklyn, earning his Bachelor's Degree in Business. Santo was employed in the banking industry, with his latest position as a Vice-President with Chase Bank. While he was growing up he played baseball starting with West Shore Little League, continuing in High School and College. Santo's main positions were shortstop and second base. Santo's baseball skill got him selected to play in the Empire State games. Santo routed for the NY Mets, NY Giants, NY Rangers, and NY Knicks. He thoroughly enjoyed all things sports.
Funeral from the Matthew Funeral Home, Inc., 2508 Victory Boulevard, on Monday, departing at 9:45 AM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Roch's R.C. Church at 10:30 AM. Family and friends are invited to visit on Sunday from 2:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM.
