Obituary of Antonio Lombardo

Antonio Lombardo, 78, of Staten Island NY died February 15, 2025. "Tony", son of Giulianna and Francesco Lombardo, loving husband of Maria Lombardo. Antonio was born in Gioiosa Ionica, Calabria, Italy. He was one of 10 wonderful siblings with many amazing nieces and nephews. He is survived by his two children, Rosemarie and Antonella, along with their spouses Natale and Andrew. He is also survived by his three grandchildren, Gabriella, Nicholas, and Emilia along with their fiance Daniel and beautiful girlfriend, Gabriella. Antonio worked for 18 years in Construction for Local 731. He loved hunting, gardening, Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune. If you needed help with your planting, he was your man. He succumbed to a long battle against Rheumatoid Arthritis, Interstitial Lung Disease, and Alzheimers. He will be missed dearly by his family and friends. We welcome all friends and family who wish to pay their respects and celebrate his life with us. We will be holding a wake to honor his life on Friday, February 21st, 2025, from 4-8PM at Matthew's Funeral Home, 2508 Victory Blvd, Staten Island, New York 10314. A Funeral Mass will take place on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at 10:30 AM at St. Joseph's Church, 466 Tompkins Avenue, Staten Island, NY 10305
