When I think of my brother this memory comes to mind. I must have been 3 or 4 at the most - living in our house on Staten Island. Some caring friend or relative had given me a pair of shoes with tiny bells on them (I know - probably a bad idea). I remember taking a bell off and tasting it, then starting to choke on it. All I could do was make funny noises and gesture to Mom that there was a problem. I remember her freaking out and yelling for you. You upended me and popped me on the back and the bell came flying out. Everyone calmed down a bit. Life went on. THANKS for saving my life and allowing me to go forward these sixty plus years and enjoy this great life that I have been blessed with. Even though I went on to do more stupid things as a kid (remember when I stuck a house key in an electric socket and got blasted across the room?) I survived those future mishaps. Love you Bro. We will meet again.

As Lisa’s best friend since HS,I’ve know Daddy Dobrow since I was 14… He was always so smart and knowledgeable about everything! My fondest memory is when I was 17 and got a flat tire on my way to his house. When I told him about it he said sure I’ll help you.. but you’re gonna change it lol. Sure enough he walked me through changing it as Lisa snapped pictures of the experience! My second fondest memory was how he always reminded me about when my car inspection was due…one day Lisa called me laughing saying guess who got a ticket for his expired car inspection.. lol He was such a wonderful person inside and out.. he will be truly missed. Rest in peace Mr. Dobrow xoxo
