Obituary of Charlotte E. Deddo

Charlotte Deddo, 91, passed away on February 28, 2025. She was a beloved Mom, Aunt, & friend. She was preceded in life by her parents, Stephen & Dorothy Kozel, and siblings Constance Ehrenspeck and Stephen Kozel. She is survived by her daughters, Carol Synan, son-in-law, Patrick Synan, Lynne Deddo and her partner Nancy, and many wonderful nieces, and nephews. Charlotte was born in Staten Island and lived all her life in Mariner's Harbor. She graduated from the College of Staten Island with an Associate of Science degree. Charlotte worked as a registered nurse for many years at the Staten Island University hospital retiring at the age of 70 years old. She loved helping people and her kindness was appreciated. Charlotte enjoyed bowling, sewing, knitting, playing cards & parcheesi, going to Atlantic City, and gardening. She especially enjoyed taking care of many of her dogs & cats through the years. She loved all her family very much and enjoyed spending time with them for lunches & dinners. She will be missed, loved, and we will always carry her memory in our hearts. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Meals on Wheels of Staten Island Program.
