Obituary of Sandra White

Sandra White, 63, passed away on March 3rd, 2025. She is predeceased by her Father Ishmael Duran and Mother Olga Duran. Sandra is survived by her husband Samuel White III, her sons Samuel White IV, Justin White, Carlos White and Mark White along with Her Siblings Ramon Duran, Melba Evo, Ishmael Duran, Leonel Duran, Ivan Duran and Mirna Duran. 

In her personal life, Sandra was a devout Christian. She spent many of her days attending church and focused on bringing worship to God through dance. Her faith was her anchor for life and it fueled her passion to bring light to all those around her. Lifting people up everywhere she would go.

Sandra also had a passion to cook.  With that passion she served as a Kitchen supervisor in Geller House, a foster care facility in Staten Island, NY for many years. When she wasn’t cooking at work, she would be found planning what to cook for the next family event and stacking her basement space with cooking and meal presentation supplies. All while reading her bible of course.

She had a tremendous heart for family and seeing lost ones reconciled with their loved ones. So, after adopting her 2 boys Carlos and Mark, she and her husband decided to become respite parents for others in Foster care for a few years.

Her love, compassion and legacy will be lived on through her children and the lives that she has connected with throughout the years. She is loved, she is light and she will always remain in our hearts. Rest in peace Sandra.

The viewing will be at International Christian Center, 1501 Richmond Avenue, Staten Island, NY 10314, on Wednesday March 12th 2025, from  1:00 PM to 4:00 PM with homegoing service from 4pm-5pm.
