Obituary of Raymond Meomartino-Cabot

Raymond MeoMartino Cabot passed away on March 7, 2025. He is survived by his wife Gina MeoMartino Cabot, children Jason, Christian, Joshua Cabot, Rachel Alleyne, Michelle Barillo, Nilia and Robert Alicea and Jeanie Sosa. As well as grandchildren Daniel, Lola, Gianna, William, Isabella, Jayson, Aiden, Bryson, Dillon and Christian. 

Raymond served in the Navy. After his time in the Navy, he spent his time working on cars and drag racing his 68 Camaro at Raceway Park. He had a true passion for cars and motorcycles. Ray was an animal lover and would often bring home any animal that he found in need. He was a jokester and had a contagious laugh and smile. He loved the sun and the beach, vacations and most of all spending time with his family. 

Raymond spent many years as a mechanic at private shops until he joined the MTA as a Bus Mechanic. Aside from his main job Ray also had a family trucking company which he ran for many years alongside his sons. He retired from the MTA in 2018.

Visitation will be at Matthew Funeral home on Tuesday March 11th from 2-4pm & 7-9pm. Funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday March 12th at 9am followed by a burial at Greenwood Cemetery.
