Obituary of Nicholas Ferrando

Nicholas Ferrando, 85 passed away peacfully on March 27, 2025. He was the beloved father of Nicholas Ferrando, John Ferrando, Helen Tamburello, and the late Francis Ferrando. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Nicholas was born in Brooklyn, where he owned a tavern and eventually moved to Staten Island in 1986. In 1988, he started his Motor Vehicle Operator career and worked as a prisoner's transport driver for the NYPD, earning his nickname "Nicky Wagon." As a pastime, he enjoyed taking photos at functions and created thoughtful video montages for family and friends. He enjoyed spending most of his time rooting for the Mets and listening to music. Funeral from the Matthew Funeral Home, Inc., 2508 Victory Boulevard, on Wednesday, April 9th departing at 10:30 AM. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 8th at 8 PM at the funeral home. Interment will be held on Wednesday, April 9th at Ocean View Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to visit on Tuesday from 2:00 - 4:00 and 7:00 -9:00 PM.
