Obituary of JoAnne Servidio
JoAnne Servidio (nee de la Pena), devoted wife ,loving mother and treasured grandmother, passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home on Wednesday April 9th, enveloped by the unwavering love of her family-a love she nurtured and cherished throughout her remarkable life.
JoAnne was predeceased by her adored husband Vincent, who passed just one month ago, her parents Anne and Joseph de la Pena, her brother Thomas and sister Diane. May they rest in eternal peace.
She is survived by her beloved children, Maria Schurott and husband Peter, Monica and husband Dr.Giuilio Bianchi, Vincent and wife Beth and James and wife Amanda. Joanne was dear a sister to Carol Lucci, Donald de le Pena and Elizabeth Blanch who will forever hold her memory close.
JoAnne's life was a testament to her steadfast commitment to family. She stood as a pillar of strength and affection for her husband Vincent and their four children, her love expanding boundlessly as she embraced her role as proud grandmother of twelve and great grandmother of five- all of whom she held in her heart with unparalleled adoration. Renowned for her extraordinary gifts in the kitchen, JoAnne wove her family together with every masterful dish she prepared, her meals a celebration of togetherness. A true homemaker, she managed her home with grace and skill. Never one to stop moving, she held many jobs including at AT&T, school crossing guard and school cook.
JoAnne's legacy of love warmth and resilience will live on in the hearts of her family and everyone fortunate enough to have known her. She will be profoundly missed.
A wake will be held Sunday April 13th from 3pm - 7pm at Matthew Funeral Home 2508 Victory Blvd., Willowbrook . A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday April 14th at 10:30am in Sacred Heart Church, Castleton Ave. Entombment will follow at Moravian Cemetery.
