You were the light of my life growing up as kids. The countless early morning hours of us playing Zelda on the Nintendo NES, and Uncle Pedro coming down at 2-3 in the morning to make his his special chinese rice. I'm grateful I was able to talk and laugh with you before you earned your wings! I hope you a resting in peace. Give my love to Uncle Pedro, who was always like a 2nd Dad to me. Love you!

Wow I’m in total shock over this, very sad news to read and hear about,I worked with Pete at TGI Fridays in Sheepshead Bay Brooklyn and he was one of the first people to train me,he was also the First person to teach me how to hold and carry 3 tumblers in one hand and tje fourth in the other,he would always get a huge table of pepper that would come in once a year known as the Rivera party, was around 800 people I think and he had it all to himself and he killed it every single time,he was an amazing server, and a great teacher to new unskilled servers like myself at the time.Rest easy Pete you will be missed.R.I.P

My name is Joe Melendez. I met Pete sometime in April of 2020 when his cousin, Danny Rubirosa, invited him to one of our weekly Zoom fellowship meetings. We call it Cybership. He engaged rather quickly with the group and immediately became part of the family. His curiosity for the word of God and desire for a relationship with Christ was truly genuine and wonderful to see. As a group, we focused on the foundational teachings of salvation in Christ. After going over the topic of baptism, Pete, like the Ethiopian eunuch in the book of Acts, wanted to be baptized. So, we decided to meet at Joy Fellowship Church in the Bronx (my old church). I flew up from Florida and Pete made his way down from Syracuse on January 13, 2021. And he was baptized. It was a wonderful day. Our families broke bread together at my cousin’s home in New Jersey. It was the first and only time I ever met Pete in person. But we would meet up weekly on Zoom until he went home to be with the Lord. He endured a lot. Yet he managed to maintain a great attitude and sense of humor through his afflictions. What was even more admirable was that he always showed more concern for other’s needs than his own. He was an encourager. No matter what condition he was in he would encourage others to hold on to their faith and fight the good fight. We love Pete and will miss him dearly.

Petey lit up any room he entered. His smile and laughter were infectious and I loved every moment I was able to spend with him. My heart is heavy but I will carry his love with me forever. Hearing him say “I love you” one last time will stay with me forever. I love you, Petey…I will miss you deeply.
May you forever rest in peace

I met Petey in 1987. I remember he came to my home with Theresa, Frankie and her mother, Diane. I remember when Petey saw I had a cat and went out and bought a can of cat food for my cat. I thought that was very thoughtful and it showed what kind of person he was.
Rest in peace, Petey. Sincerely, Louis Keith, Theresa’s Uncle.

My Brother Peter was a kind and loving person. He would bend over backwards for anyone. But one thing he was a family man he loved his family but most of all he loved his two boys my newphews Joshua and Manny. I will miss him so much we were very close we talked everyday. I was there when he needed a shoulder to cry on for ever health issue he had that what a big sister does. I love you Peter you are with mom and dad now. I don't know how to go on without but I know you wouldn't want me sad. You would always say to me Don't Worry BE Happy Sis. R.I.P.
