Obituary of Connie M. McGeady

In Loving Memory of Connie McGeady Connie McGeady, a radiant soul whose laughter could light up a room, passed away surrounded by her loving family on May 9th, leaving behind a legacy of love, resilience, and unshakable spirit. Born on January 1, 1947, in Malta, Connie grew up speaking two languages, ultimately moving to New York with her parents and siblings to embark on a new life. It was in New York where she met the love of her life, Ron, with whom she shared a marriage rooted in laughter, friendship, and unwavering devotion. Their joy only deepened with the birth of their beloved son, John. Connie poured her heart into motherhood, always present—whether cheering at school events, volunteering in the PTO, or organizing for local charities. She gave selflessly and with love. Throughout her life, Connie faced numerous health challenges, but she was determined to be resilient. Despite the hardships, she remained the life of the party. As the saying goes, Connie never met a stranger. Her warm smile, infectious laugh and magnetic energy drew people in. If you knew Connie, you hit the jackpot on the slot machine of life. A woman of deep faith, she held Padre Pio close to her heart and drew strength from her beliefs, especially in her most difficult moments. Her family was her greatest treasure, and she took immense pride in her role as a Nana—a title she wore with love and joy. Connie dedicated her life to raising her family, loving fiercely, laughing freely, and living fully. Her absence leaves a profound silence, but her spirit will echo through the stories told, the laughs remembered, and the lives she touched. Connie is survived by her devoted husband Ron, her beloved son John and his wife Jamie, stepdaughter Kim and husband Brian, cherished grandchildren Jenna, John, Brandon, and Cory, adoring sisters Jessie, Doris, brother-in-law Frank, nieces, nephews and countless friends. She is predeceased by loving brothers John, Frankie and sister-in-law Teresa. In lieu of flowers and in honor of Connie's love of children, please consider donating to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
