Obituary of Catherine A. Moliterni

Catherine (Kay) Ann Sova Moliterni passed away May 16,2025 at the age of 100 years a birthday celebrated at 2 parties! One hosted by her current residence Complete Care Havens that included proclamations given to her by NJ Senator Carmen Amato and Mayor Hankins of Manchester NJ!  Her second party surrounded by the Moliterni family hosted by her daughter Donna Moliterni Pugliese!    

Mother to 1 daughter Donna Pugliese, 2 grandsons Robert Newhardt of Toms River NJ, Richard Newhardt,his wife Heather Newhardt, 2 great grandchildren, Thomas Newhardt and Adrianna Newhardt all of Waretown NJ!  

Kay was married to Donald Moliterni for 75 years until his death in June of 2023. 

Kay was born on a farm in Herrick Center, Susquehanna County, PA the youngest of 8 siblings. She joined the Army WACs during WWII hoping to go overseas but that did not become a reality so she served in Washington DC as a medic at a veteran hospital taking care of soldiers on their return stateside! 

Later in her career, she served as a Dental Assistant at Halleran  Veteran Hospital in Staten Island where she met and married Donald Moliterni, residing in Mariners Harbor, Port Richmond and Westerleigh, hosting many happy gatherings with family and friends that we all still talk about even now! 

Kay was a resident of Complete Care Havens an assisted Living in Toms River NJ for 1-1/2  years till her death May 16 after a brief illness!
