When we met, we were all a bunch of fresh-faced Recruits, all from different backgrounds and walks of life, not sure what we were getting into. For the relatively brief time that we were all together, you were always a voice of reason when times were tense. And we always had each other's backs. When I found out you had passed, I was shocked and saddened. I'm sorry I never kept in touch, but I realize now that life is too short, and we have to cherish every moment.
