Obituary of Min Kim

Min Kim, 48, of Woodside, Queens, NY, formerly of Staten Island, passed away suddenly on June 11, 2025.  He was the beloved son of Hak Geun Kim and Bok Hee Kim, dear brother of DaBin Kim.  Min was born in South Korea and emigrated to the United States in 1980 at the age of three, settling in Brooklyn with his family, before moving to Staten Island.  He graduated from Stuyvesant High School in Manhattan and furthered his education at SUNY Buffalo.  Min worked in IT as an Executive Support Manager for Pfizer.  Min was an incredible and selfless human being.  Always offering a helping hand and constantly learning, he was the most interesting, caring, silly, devoted, and funny guy one could ever be so lucky to know with a heart of gold.  Min loved working with his hands, building and fixing things constantly.  He wasn't scared to try new things and had a ton of hobbies that he loved to share with everyone around him.  When Min picked up golf, it was no time at all before he learned how to regrip his own clubs and proceeded to provide his services to friends, family, and neighbors.  Riding motorcycles was one of Min's favorite hobbies.  He loved the beautiful places and adventures he was able to explore on two wheels. Two wheels that Min secured himself as he learned how to change his own tires and oil, of course.  He also became an electric bicycle enthusiast sourcing dusty, forgotten bikes to super charge and gift to his friends and parents.  A self-taught guitarist, Min spread his love for music with so many others. A miniature guitar for his tiny mom that looked like a ukulele when her six-foot son tuned it.  When his lifelong friends' young children showed interest, no doubt Uncle Min set them up with everything needed.  Min's generosity was truly unmatched.  Accordingly, he loved to feed people.  Groceries, delicious treats, pretty lattes, Uber Eats, and new restaurant finds for his parents were constant.  Min loved the simple things in life like a good view, feeding leftover bagels to the birds in his local park, and growing vegetables on his patio.  Min took amazing photographs and collected old cameras.  Min was a one-of-a-kind son, brother, friend, and colleague that will be dearly missed.  Min's legacy will live on in the memories of those who were fortunate enough to know him and the lil chichi he rescued for his mom.  Let us all cherish the wonderful memories we have of Min.
