Obituary of Joseph T. Fair

In Loving memory of Joseph Fair 02-24-1945 Joseph Fair was a beloved father, grandfather, brother and friend. Born in 1945 to Joseph Fair Sr. and June Lynk. He dedicated his life to family. Joseph was a proud graduate of McKee High School. Joseph went on to serve his country as a US Army Veteran. He was stationed in Germany for 3 years during the Vietnam war. He took telephone communications in the army. After the Army he started working for Western Union in 1971. During his time at Western Union, he learned his electrical expertise. He was involved in the development and maintenance of telegraph technology and telecommunications systems which required a workforce with electrical knowledge and skills. This included the electrical infrastructure needed for transmitting their telegraph messages. After his military service, he loved to BBQ, watch western movies and loved to go out and socialize. Joseph was married to Maryann Howell and had three children, Natasha, Julie, and Mark Fair. Joseph is survived by his loving family, including his two grandsons, Stefan Williams and Gabriel Ortega. He leaves behind his beloved sibling Patrick Fair, a retired C.O. who worked at Rikers Island. Joseph will be missed by his best friend, Louie Pirone, who now lives in Washington State, that he went to high school with and his friends at Mariners Assisted living facility on Staten Island, that loved to play Bingo and Board games with. Joseph's memory will forever live on in the hearts of all that knew him. Joseph will be buried at St. Peters Cemetery on Staten Island, May our father, grandfather, brother and friend rest in peace.
