Obituary of Patricia M. Bannon

Patricia Bannon, 83, of Richmondtown, Staten Island, passed away on July 5, 2025.

Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, Patricia was the beloved wife of the late George Bannon, who passed away in 1999. She was the loving mother of Sean Bannon and his wife Debra, and Kerry Spencer and her husband Kenneth. She was a cherished grandmother to Ryan Bannon, Kenneth Spencer, and Jillian Spencer. Patricia is also survived by her sister Sandra Trivelli and her brother James Lanza. She is also survived by many loving nephews and nieces.

Patricia attended New Utrecht High School and Kingsborough Community College. She worked as a dedicated paraprofessional for 25 years at P.S. 196 in Brooklyn, NY, where she loved helping students and supporting teachers.

She was known for her artistic spirit, with a special love of painting and doing crafts with her grandchildren, always helping them with school projects. She delighted in cooking for her family and hosting lively parties in her home, where everyone felt welcome. One of her favorite places was Seaside Heights where she spent summers with family and friends.  Patricia also traveled the world on cruises with her sister-in-law Theresa Bannon, collecting wonderful memories along the way. 

Patricia was a jokester who brought laughter everywhere she went. She treasured time with her grandchildren and loved catching up with friends, sharing stories, jokes, and good food.

Most of all, Patricia will be remembered for her warmth, creativity, humor, and the deep love she had for her family and friends.

A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 9 at 11AM at Blessed Sacrament Church.
