Deeply saddened upon learning of the death of my cousin Carol I have so many memories of us growing up in Brooklyn. It is difficult to pinpoint a favorite memory as they were all dear and memorable and happy memories. With prayerful love, cousin Arlene Keller (Brown).

Cuz as many others have shared their disbelief I too can’t seem to grasp this reality. I wrote a tribute here yesterday but it flew into the abyss. I’ve known you my entire life and while we’ve shared so many good times nothing beat our cousins get togethers and the laughter we all had. I came to know you and love you even more through these times and I will always be grateful for all the moments we had laughing, eating and dancing our weekends away.
You lived a full life Carol- as a Mom, Nana and friend to all.
I will miss you immensely, until we meet again I’ll be loving you always. Rest easy Carol.
until we cried.

I have hesitated to post here refusing to believe you are gone. My heart is broken. You were always worried about me and your love and care got me through so much. You were (hate using past tense) a devoted mom and Nana and aunt. Johnny & Jess loved you so much. Tommy & I will miss your visits to Arizona. You always got his jokes. Hug Mommy & Dad and the 3 of you watch over us. Love you Sister.

My Carol,
I am still in disbelief that this is really happening. I loved the morning calls you had with my mom, that turned into all three of us talking. You had a unique relationship with each person in your life, making everyone feel so special. I will always cherish the times we shared when I would come over and help you with the kids when they were little. Or the times when you would let me drive your car from the Pocono gate to the house. To us, you were more than just my mom’s best friend, you were family. A constant in our lives, from a mundane Saturday night to any and every event, party, or milestone we had-you were there “with bells on”. I will always tell Connor how much “his girlfriend” loved him. I will forever miss and love you.

To Carol’s family…Connie & I are so very sorry to hear the passing of such a lovely woman. Our memory with Carol was…we had a parrot named Pepe & unfortunately couldn’t keep him. Carol kindly offered to adopt him from us & keep him safe & loved. She was a very kind soul.

Carol,
You were like an aunt to me — a constant in my life filled with weekend trips to the Poconos, lobster tails, mudslides, and waving our magic fingertips to open the gate. Your laugh, your love, and your spirit filled every room you entered. Even though you’re gone, your presence is still so deeply felt. I loved you so much, and I always will.

While seemingly worlds apart, I have wonderful memories of visiting with Carol and cousins both in NY and NJ in my youth and attached a pool photo of their visit to Hillborough, NJ. My heart, thoughts, and prayers go out to all of her family in this time of sorrow.

Carol,
A fellow graduate of Holy Name’s class of 1966, I was so sad to hear the news. Although we didn’t much much of each other through the years, it was always nice when we managed the occasional get together. I pray that you are at peace and that your Joy, her husband and your beautiful grandchildren will continue on knowing how much you loved them.
Until we meet again,
Kathleen (Fitzi)

My Dear Cousin Carol, I keep coming to your Obituary listing, still in disbelief. I read on, in awe of the impact you had on so many lives, especially your grandchildren, family and friends. You will forever be celebrated for the love, laughter and memories we shared during our Sister/Cousins weekends at Eileen's House. I am grateful for the moments we shared while you chauffeured the car rides to and from these weekend getaways, catching up on life's events. I trusted your driving safety and even your verbal slamming of hazardous drivers. You will always live on in our hearts Carol. Farewell my Cousin.

Carol, we were supposed to be drinking champagne together this week, not this. I still cannot believe you are gone. I will miss our talks on the phone and your visits to Arizona over the years. I remember all your “what’s” until we finally convinced you to get help-hearing aides. You became a new person, joining in on conversations. Laughing at the silliest things. Your visits with our cousins, wish Nancy and I could have been a fly on the wall. You were a true friend to everyone. I’ll have a buzz ball in your honor. Love you my sister. Cathy

Dear Joy and Family, I was shocked and saddened to hear of your Mom's passing. We were childhood friends from Holy Name of Jesus. I have so many memories of our time together, hanging out at Weters, Prospect Park horseback riding, a trip to Painted Pony Dude Ranch in Luzerne, NY and so many other fun things we did growing up in the 60s. My favorite memory was getting together again on Staten Island a few years ago. She will be missed. May she rest in peace. Marian Croke

I will cherish our memories and I'm so glad I kept in touch with you through the years. Love you forever, my friend.

To Joy and Family: It hurts my heart to be writing this in memory of your mom Carol. We were childhood friends since attending Holy Name of Jesus grammar school and hanging with our friends after school at Wetters. Our friends included our future husbands-you Nate-me Tom (who happened to be cousins)! Memories will be cherished forever, from indoor roller skating to horseback riding, too many to list! Carol, you were like an aunt to me — a constant light, full of warmth and laughter. I’ll always treasure our weekend getaways to the Poconos, sharing lobster tails and mudslides, and giggling as we waved our magic fingertips to open the gate. You made everything feel special.
