Obituary of Leticia Pretto

Leticia Pretto, 87, of Dongan Hills, Staten Island, passed away peacefully on July 9, 2025.  She was the beloved wife of Alberto Pretto for 65 years; beloved mother of Dinah Pretto (Sylvia), Albert Daniel Pretto (Patricia) and Liza Barone (Frank); devoted grandmother of ten and great-grandmother of four.
Mrs. Pretto was born and raised in Bulacan, Philippines, and came to the United States at the age of 20, settling in Manhattan, before later relocating to Staten Island.  She earned a Bachelor Degree in Economics (in the Philippines), before earning her Masters Degree from former Richmond College, in Education.  She worked for the New York City Board of Education as a Teacher and Director until her retirement.  Leticia was well-travelled and was an excellent cook.  She was a devoted Mother and Grandmother, who enjoyed shopping.  As quoted by her family, "We will miss her laugh, her style, and unwavering love.  She faced every challenge with grace and never let illness dull her sparkle."
Family and friends may visit on Friday, 7/11, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM.  Funeral will depart from the Funeral Home on Saturday, 7/12, at 10:00 AM, with interment at Moravian Cemetery.
