Obituary of Marianne Rucco

Marianne Rucco was born in Brooklyn NY on July 7, 1964
Marianne’s true calling was teaching young children. After receiving her Masters
of Education from Touro College, Marianne spent her teaching career in early
education, particularly with special needs children. Her ability to connect with and
engage children in the classroom was amazing.
Marianne was an athletic force to be reckoned with during her career as a softball
player. From her early youth up until her illness, Marianne loved the game and
was a fierce player.
She also loved music and dancing and a had a special place in her heart for all
animals – domestic and wildlife. Family and friends meant the world to her.
Marianne is predeceased by her parents – Frank and Frances Rucco and brother-
in-law Harlan Hyans. Marianne is survived by her only son, the light of her life -
Nicholas Rucco of Brooklyn NY; her lifetime partner - Maria (a.k.a Cachy) Jerins of
Staten Island NY; her four siblings - Catherine Russo (Gary) of Harrisburg PA,
Thomas Rucco of Harrisburg PA, Theresa Hyans of Staten Island NY, Stephen
Rucco of Sevierville TN; and many nieces and nephews – who she was quick to
help with her advice and suggestions.
