Very sorry to hear. John was an amazingly talented athlete. He played right field and pitched for our St Peter’s Eagles Championship Team of 1977. We took all of Staten Island and all of New York City HS Championships. Aside from playing together at St Peter’s John and I were good friends playing stick ball in New Brighton and Port Richmond. One of the hardest throwing pitchers I ever saw. Rest with Our Lord my Friend Fermin Cruz St Peter’s HS Class of ‘77

So sorry for your horrific loss. I knew John in 8th grade.He was always kind and funny not to mention I had a huge crush on him . I’m sure your family will miss him terribly.
