So saddened to read of Donna’s passing. We got to know each other well during the horrible summer of 1987 when Jennifer was abducted. She was a force to be reckoned with and was our tireless leader and founder of the Friends of Jennifer. We’d run into each other from time to time when I returned to Westerleigh years later and vowed to get together, but life got in the way. Donna would light up talking about her family when we ran into each other. My sincerest condolences to Charlie and Donna’s children, grandchildren and all who loved her. A wonderful, strong, kind and compassionate woman gone too soon. Rest in peace Donna.

To Charlie, Devin and Catrina, I pray for God’s peace for all of you. My memory of Donna is of a devoted and loving mom and wife. Donna was a tremendous example of a heartfelt community servant who touched so many lives including mine. Blessings to you all.

I don’t have any words… This grief can never truly be filled. Even now, it doesn’t feel real. My heart is heavy and I keep wishing it wasn’t true. Devin Bro… I can’t even begin to imagine what you're going through right now. Your mom was such a beautiful soul — warm, strong, and full of love. Even though I only spoke to her a few times, she made me feel like family… like I was one of her own sons. That’s something I will never forget. Prayers and condolences to all of Donna’s friends and family. I knew her through Fleet Week, she was the queen of the Staten Island pier. With boundless energy and ALWAYS made sure every sailor, coast guardsmen and Marine was taken care of with love and respect. She will always live in my memory as an amazing friend and tireless advocate for those less fortunate. I will miss her deeply. Rest easy with God.
