Obituary of Doreen C. Sullivan

Doreen Catherine Sullivan 81 of Staten Island, passed away peacefully at home on August 1, 2025.

A cherished wife, devoted mother, adored grandmother, and a beloved friend. Doreen leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter and warmth that touched all who knew her.

Born with a nurturing spirit and creative soul, Doreen dedicated her life not only to her craft as a talented hairdresser; but also to raising a close knit family. Her hands shaped more than hairstyles, they nurtured her home, her garden and the hearts of her family.

Doreen was the beloved wife of Richard Sullivan, her lifelong partner and soulmate. Their bond was the heart of the family, a partnership filled with joy, flea market adventures and trips to the garden center. She was the devoted mother of Richard, Christopher and the late Timothy Sullivan, whose memory she carried in her heart every day. Cherished mother in law to Jodi Sullivan. A proud loving grandmother, Doreen found immense joy in the lives of her grandchildren, Richard, Olivia and Chelsea Sullivan, each of whom held a special place in her heart.

Whether tending to her flowers, styling hair, exploring flea markets, or decorating for any holiday, Doreen lived with vibrancy and purpose. She was a woman of warmth, generosity and unwavering devotion and the center of her husband's universe. She will be remembered for her laughter and boundless compassion.
