Obituary of Margaret E. Ohleth
Margaret Emma Ohleth, 81, passed away peacefully at her home in Staten Island, New York, on August 6, 2025.
Margaret lived a full and meaningful life, one marked by devotion to family, enduring friendships, and a strong work ethic. Over the years, she found purpose and pride in her many roles, including her time at the New York Stock Exchange and later at the Mariner's Residence, where her commitment and compassion touched many lives.
A devoted twin sister, Margaret, shared a deep bond with her sister Margo. After Margo's passing in 1997, Margaret lovingly stepped into the role of caregiver for her nephew, Christopher. Her unwavering dedication and care during his illness were extraordinary and a testament to her strength and love. Christopher's passing in 2018 was a profound loss.
Margaret is survived by her nieces Lisa, Kathleen, Kara, and Kristen, and her great-nieces Jessika, Macy, Anna, and Keira. She was preceded in death by her sister Margo, her brother Karl, and her beloved nephew Christopher.
Margaret enjoyed taking car rides with Chrisopher to the beach, she also loved her watching Hallmark Movies. Although she didn't do it often, wrote great poetry. She loved pulling out her old Betty Crocker cookbook and trying new recipes (no garlic or cheese) and making her favorite requested Christmas and chocolate chip cookies.
May her memory be a blessing to all who knew and loved her.
