Obituary of Anton Antoncic

Anton Antoncic (Tonic) age 75 passed away peacefully on September 1, 2025. He was the son of the late Maria and Anton Antoncic. He was the loving brother of Margaret Bielic. He was preceded in death by his sister Catherine Belic and brother Grgo Antoncic. He was a dear uncle to many, including eight nieces and nephews, seventeen great nieces and nephews and five great-great nieces and nephews.

Tonic was born in Omisalj, Otok Krk, Croatia. The youngest of four children, he came to the United States at the age of eighteen. He lived in Brooklyn and Staten Island, always close to his sisters and his extended family. He worked as a seaman in the marine towing and transportation industry his entire career.

Tonic enjoyed watching television and movies. He enjoyed listening to music, especially songs from his homeland. He had a talent for drawing and sketching. He enjoyed the outdoors and watching all types of sports, especially soccer. He loved his family and wanted to live his life to the fullest. Tonic always smiled even when he faced challenges related to his illness. His family will remember his smile and will miss him dearly.
