Dear Joe, how is it that over 30 years pass and we don't get in touch. My dear friend. Big Apple Circus, GARDEN OF EARTHLY DELIGHTS, touring, traveling, all before your real career started..
My heart breaks. My condolences to your Family. You were larger than life back then, I can imagine all you accomplished since..
I was looking for you to invite you to another celebration of life.. I would know that smile anywhere. Peace my dear friend..

We were so shocked to hear. I am so sorry for Joseph's passing. I will always remember Joseph and the family as our dearest neighbors of some twenty years. My heart goes out to you all. May God give the family strength and May Joseph rest in eternal peace.

My condolences to the Martinez family Carmen Joe Junior and the rest of the family. I knew Joe probably for about 15 years if not more we met while he was hanging out with Sunny Archer hit smoking cigars on the lower east side. My fond memory of Joe is while I was in homicide. I called him to go up on a phone for me of one of my suspects and he said Wendell where’s my subpoena I said Joe it’s on the way gave me the information a few hours later he called me back. He says I know where your guys at but where’s my subpoena? I will just tell me where he is and I’ll get you to subpoena. I did have the subpoena. I just hadn’t gotten around to send it to him. We caught that guy later on that night and I called Joe to thank him and I was having a real tough time. Finance guy for about six months. Joe is always a good guy could depend on him to get the work done with that smile on his face in those cigarettes he live he calm and lived around the corner for me once that is and sometimes he would pass my house blow the horn or text I come out, but he’d be smoking that cigar and it was like Joe I don’t smoke so I’m not getting in the car. Tell me where you’re going and I’ll meet you there and then we go hang out at the manorhouse !he’s gonna be missed Again my condolences to the Martinez family and to Carmen also and Joe Junior.

My condolences and prayers to Joseph’s family. He and I became close friends as teenagers at church. We were musicians together there as well. Joseph played a mean trumpet and was a great drummer. I’m only 5’ 3” so he would always tower over me. :) He will definitely will be missed, but never forgotten.

I am so sorry Joe has passed away he was always the life of the party I remember him attending a few Filipino barbecues that my wife’s organization use to hold, he always had a great time. He was always there at NYPD to assist and was always cheerful. I remember him coming down to Baltimore and helping out he was such a Caring guy. Also when I retired he gave me my retirement shield that I still carry with me today. He will be greatly missed. Joe rest in peace and may perpetual light shine upon your soul forever.

I grew up with Joe like my brother in the First Christian Church of the Valley on 27 Street for over 30 years. His mom Paulina was my mom Tonia's best friend. We had great memories. So saddened by the news. I pray for the God of peace and comfort to Debbie and Al and the whole family.

Carmen and Joe. I am so saddened to hear of Joe's passing. He was such a great guy. Joe was my friend and partner in TARU/NYPD on many jobs over the years. We had a lot of good times and laughs. We also shared partial season tickets to the Mets at Shea Stadium back in the day. God Bless you Joe. May you rest in peace. Your friend and partner "Deeter".
