Obituary of Joseph Martinez

Joseph Martinez, 57 of Ewing Township, NJ, passed away on September 4, 2025. He was the beloved husband of Carmen Martinez for 28 year; loving father of Joseph E. Martinez; dear step-father of Christine Acaba; cherished grandfather of Zanae ,Serenity and Illias, and devoted great-grandfather of Zoelle .Dear brother of Deborah Moreno and her husband, Alcides Moreno. He was also survived by nephew Xavier and nieces Vilmaris and Viviana.

Joseph was born in Puerto Rico and raised in Brooklyn, NY and graduated from William E. Grady High School. He went on to become a NYPD Police Officer and NYPD Detective for over 20 years. He was a 911 first responder on that tragic historical event. Joseph enjoyed traveling and being with his friends. He loved to share stories and recalling his fondest memories about all those who he encountered along his journey.
