Obituary of Annabelle DeLuca
Annabelle DeLuca, 83, of Old Bridge, NJ, formerly of Brooklyn, NY, passed away peacefully on September 15, 2025, at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was the dear daughter of the late John and Barbara DeLuca; loving sister of Joseph and the Late Lawrence DeLuca; dear sister-in-law of the late Janet DeLuca; devoted aunt of Christopher and Lyn DeLuca, Denise and Robert Ferraioli and Robin and Robert Frisby; cherished great-aunt of Haley DeLuca, Robert and Nicholas Ferraioli, and Gabby and Matthew Frisby, fond cousin of many, especially Louise and Anthony DeStefano, and the late Frank and late Jean Giordano Annabelle was a devoted friend to Jean and the Late Sam Dansky and Maria Lipp (who were like sisters to her). She also leaves behind her lifelong friends Blanche and Cookie.
Ms. DeLuca was born and raised in Red Hook, Brooklyn, and lived for many years in Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn, before relocating to Old Bridge, NJ, approximately twenty years ago. Annabelle worked for over forty years as a dedicated employee with the Corporate Trustee Division of Chemical/Chase Bank, making a lot of friends along the way.
Annabelle will always be remembered for her huge, generous heart, who loved her family and friends, especially her brother Joseph, who she lived her entire life with and took care of his well-being. She enjoyed hosting holidays in Brooklyn and New Jersey. Christmas and New Year’s parties at her house were always fun, with food, laughter and games like Pokeno and Poker. She made the best stuffed artichokes, and had fresh walnuts after every dinner, and beautifully decorated her Christmas tree every year with elegant and fun crystal ornaments. Her Saturday routine regularly included attending 5:00 PM Mass at St. Mark’s R.C. Church when she resided in Brooklyn, and then St. Ambrose R.C. Church, while living in New Jersey. Going out to dinner always followed this in one of her favorite restaurants, usually with her family and friends. Annabelle was an avid NY Mets fan and had a great sense of humor and enjoyed making people laugh. She enjoyed travelling to Las Vegas, Atlantic City and to the Islands on many cruises over the years.
She was always a fun, loving aunt to her nephews and nieces, but held a special bond with her 13-year-old great niece, Haley. Haley loved how encouraging Aunt Annabelle was to her, especially with her school and softball activities, and always told her to never give up on her dreams. They would always end visits with a fist pump.
Rest in Peace Aunt Annabelle, you may have forgotten, but we will remember for you!!!
