Obituary of Margritte Anita Legazpy

With profound love and sorrow, we announce the passing of Margritte Anita Legazpy, who died on September,16, 2025 at the age of 26.
Margritte was born in Staten Island and graduated from New Dorp High School. Margritte was currently attending the College of Staten Island and was working on and almost finished with her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. Margritte had many friendships with people with whom she grew up and loved having an active social life and interests which included visiting city cultural centers, attending museums and going out to listen to live music. Margritte had a deep appreciation and really cared for and enjoyed friends that she grew up with – they were very special to her. Margritte had a special gift for writing poetry and would write poetry that was very personal to her. Margritte also loved animals and had two special cats that will miss her greatly. Margritte had a special relationship with, and love for her brother Lorenzo, who loved and cared for her throughout her life.

Margritte is survived by her brother Lorenzo, her father, Ricardo, her step mother, Bella and her step siblings, Antonio, Olivia and Emma.
