Obituary of Jeanne M. Olivo

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Jeanne Marie Olivo, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and dedicated nurse, who passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 21, 2025, at the age of 61, in Staten Island.

Born Jeanne Carbone, Jeanne lived a life marked by care, compassion, and quiet strength. She lived a beautiful life raised by her parents John and Dorothy Carbone. She attended Tottenville high school, and later studied to be a Registered Nurse at the College of Staten Island. She dedicated her career to helping others, first as a skilled and compassionate ICU nurse, and later as a school nurse at Susan Wagner High School, where she became a trusted and comforting presence to countless students and staff.

Jeanne is survived by her husband Michael Olivo of 34 years, her loving Daughter Angela Sierra and son in law Edgardo Sierra, Son Michael Olivo Jr and daughter in law Danielle Olivo, and cherished brother John Carbone and his wife Alisa Carbone. She was a proud and caring aunt to her three nieces, Brittany, Allison and Natalie, and a doting grandmother to her four beloved grandchildren Riley, Mia, Dominick, and Aiden.

She will be deeply missed by her extended family, many dear friends, and all those whose lives she touched with her warmth, kindness, and strength.

Her family was the center of her world. Jeanne gave her love freely and fiercely, and her warmth, wisdom, and gentle spirit will continue to guide those she leaves behind. She will be remembered for her deep empathy, her quiet strength, and the countless lives she touched through both her work and her presence.

Funeral and memorial service details will be shared by the family. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jeanne’s memory may be made to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.

May her soul rest in peace, and may her memory be a blessing to all who knew and loved her.
