Obituary of Jenaro Rivera Reyes

It is with deep sorrow and love that we announce the passing of Jenaro Rivera Reyes, AKA "Jimmy" who departed this life on October 1st, 2025 at the age of 81. He was a beloved father, grandfather, uncle, brother, and friend whose presence touched the lives of everyone who knew him.

Born on January 19th in Puerto Rico, Jenaro was known for his strength, kindness, and unconditional dedication to his family. He served in the Army in the 1960's and taught by example the values of honesty, courage, loyalty and discipline. Which he fought in the Vietnam war.

He enjoyed spending time with his family, sharing stories from his youth, and traveling.

He was a brave and strong individual who was fighting certain health conditions until he was too tired to continue fighting. He will rest in peace now. 

Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation on Wednesday, October 8th, from 2:00–4:00 PM and 6:00–9:00 PM at Matthew Funeral Home. A burial service will take place on Friday, October 10th, at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Memorial Cemetery.

Jimmy’s legacy of love, faith, and strength will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
