Obituary of Frederick J. Van Cott

With a saddened heart we announce the death of Frederick J. Van Cott. Fred passed away on October 4, 2025 at the age of 65. He was preceded by his parents Frederick and Claire. He is survived by his daughter Christine, granddaughter Charlotte, siblings Marybeth, Eileen, Claire, Kenny, Laura and Jennifer as well as his nieces, nephews and extended family.

Born on February 16, 1960 in Staten Island, New York. He attended Sacred Heart School and went on to Mckee High School. He enlisted in the Navy in 1979. Fred was a jack of all trades and held positions in upholstery, moving, and maintenance.

Fred was always eager to give a hand whenever asked. He enjoyed spending time down the Jersey Shore and fishing with friends and family. He would take extended trips to visit life-long friends and adored outdoor activities. He always loved listening to his favorite bands while sitting on the front porch. Fred was a proud father who loved his daughter with all his heart and had such pride in her accomplishments.

Fred will be deeply missed but will remain in our hearts forever.
