Obituary of Robert Marcello

Robert Marcello Obituary

Robert Marcello, 62, of South Beach, passed away unexpectedly on October 9, 2025. He was the beloved father of Salvatore Robert Marcello and proud grandfather of Lorenzo Vincent Marcello; dear brother of Carmine, Salvatore, Rosemary Marcello, Joseph Marcello.; and cherished friend to many. He was the loving son of Mary Marcello and the late Salvatore Marcello.

Robert was born and raised in South Beach, Staten Island, and graduated from New Dorp High School. He worked as a machine operator for many years and also at The Surf Club, where he formed countless friendships and lasting memories.

He was known for his humor, kindness, and magnetic personality. He had a natural charm that drew people in, someone who could make anyone laugh and feel instantly at ease. He was loved by all who knew him, not because he tried to be, but because he was genuine, warm, and always himself.

Music was one of his greatest passions. As a young boy, he would sneak and play his brother’s drum set whenever he had the chance, sparking a lifelong love for rhythm and rock music that stayed with him throughout his life.

He loved to laugh, to party, and to live life to the fullest. Though he didn’t always take the best care of himself, he cared deeply for others and had a heart bigger than words could describe.

He was taken from us far too soon and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His laughter, his rhythm, and his love will forever echo in the hearts of his family and friends.

Family and friends may visit at the Matthew Funeral Home, Inc., 2508 Victory Boulevard, on Monday, 10/13, from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm.  A Funeral Service is scheduled for 8:00 pm in the funeral home.
