1930 – 2025
Alfred T. Grillo, age 95, formerly of Brooklyn, NY and Boca Raton, Florida, passed away peacefully on October 9, 2025, at Clove Lakes Nursing Home, where he resided for the past 7 years.Born in Brooklyn on May 7, 1930, Alfred was the son of the late Alfred and Ernestine Grillo.
Alfred is survived by his loving wife of 73 years, Theresa (nee Delano), his loving sons, Alfred (Evelyn), Thomas (Joan) and Richard (Theresa), his loving grandchildren, Steven (Lauren), Thomas (Nora), Joanna Potts (Michael), Michael and John, and great-grandchildren, Angela, Isabella, Filomena, Luciano, Nicholas and Theodore, his loving sister, Anita LaMonica and many loving nieces and nephews.
Alfred was a U.S. Army Veteran, who served during the Korean War. He was a Journeyman Pressman and member of Local 1 Amalgamated Lithographers of America, retiring in 1992 and relocating to Boca Raton, Florida where he lived for 23 years. In 2015, Alfred and his wife Theresa relocated to Staten Island to be closer to their family.
Alfred was a devoted husband, a loving father, adoring grandfather and great-grandfather, a loving brother and uncle. Alfred especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, vacationing in Cape May, NJ, hosting holiday dinners and summer barbeques where he was always the life of the party. He will be deeply missed.
