Obituary of John Denaro

John Denaro June 1,1930 - October 18,2025 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of John Denaro, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and uncle who passed away peacefully at his home in Staten Island, NY, on October 18, 2025, at the age of 95. Born on June 1,1930 John was the devoted son of the late Joseph and Nancy Denaro. He was predeceased by his sister Jean Fevelo, in 1963.He is survived by his loving wife Dororthy Denaro (nee DiSerafino). Together they raised two daughters, Karen and Dorothy and built a life rooted in love, dedication and family. John was the proud grandfather of five grandchildren: Robert Birkhead, Rachel Tabershaw Aives, Eric Birkhead, Alyssa Tabershaw and Bryan Birkhead. He was also a joyful great-grandfather to four: Robert, Noah, Julian and Logan. John worked in the garment industry as a highly skilled and respected pattern maker until his retirement. His attention to detail, craftsmanship, and commitment to his work earned him the admiration of colleagues and peers alike. Outside of work John was an avid golfer. He found great joy on the golf course and was especially proud of achieving two holes-in-one an accomplishment that brought him immense satisfaction. He resided at New Dorp in Staten Island, where he spent many years surrounded by those he loved. John will be remembered for his warmth, quiet strength, deep integrity, and unwavering love for his family. His legacy lives on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. He will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
