Dear Mami, The Lord had returned an angel back to heaven. For you had such a beautiful soul, filled with love, caring, kindness. Thank you for the blessings you have bestowed on me. Thank you for raising the man that I love and for instilling in him all his amazing qualities. From this love, another gift was given in the form of our son, Christopher. You are our oldest cousin.. we grow up knowing that you are our beautiful Ate Baby, the band majorette.Ever since we were young, we used yo see you always dropping by our home in Atimonan.. and of course it always brings joy to my tatay because you are his favorite beautiful niece.You were actually spoiled to my tatay, that whatever request you have to him, he would readily grant it . We have many fond memories most specially @ your apartment in Sisa, which eventually became a favorite hang out among the cousins. I am almost part of your household, wherein I saw Ryan & Jayjay growing up .When I migrated to NY, it always felt good to know that you & the rest of the Lavides cousins are also here in NYC . It make my adjustment in NYC a lot easier. What we missed most is when you and Jayjay would just suddenly appear in our doorstep in our home in Dumont, unscheduled, unplanned most frequently when my nanay was still with us. We would drive to Bergenfield, eat at Bamboo Grille, then watch a filipino movie @ the Bergenfield Cinema. And of course i won’t forget how good a cook you are. We celebrated many happy milestone, & holidays- Christmas, Christening, birthdays, graduation, wedding, & In Feb 2020, we celebrated your 75th birthday @ my home . While it’s true that life is short, & we never know when is our time - I can’t believe you are gone, our dearest beautiful cousin Ate Baby. The only consolation i have is that we have beautiful memories kept in our hearts . Thank you for the love, & for the special gift that you have in you - in keeping the family connected.
