Obituary of Rajan Thomas

Mr. Rajan Thomas was born on January 16, 1946, in Karuvatta, Kerala, India, to the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomaskutty and Rachel Thomas, and was one of five siblings: the late Thomas, the late Joy, the late Ammani, and Kunjamma.

In 1979, Rajan Thomas married Kunjujamma Kunjachan of Cheppad, Kerala. Together, they were blessed with three sons: Jinu Thomas, Jinoy Thomas, and Jibi Thomas. He was also blessed with three loving daughters-in-law: Priya Jinu, Anjana Jinoy, and Riya Jibi.

Mr. Thomas worked in Kerala for BSNL before immigrating to the United States in 1997 with his family. With determination and unwavering trust in God, he embraced the challenges of a new country, working hard to provide for his family and raising his three sons with love and dedication. A deeply spiritual man, he was devoted to both his home parish, St. Mary’s Orthodox Church in Staten Island, New York, and his family church, Mar Yacob Burdhana Orthodox Church in Kerala, India.

Rajan Thomas will be remembered as a humble and kind-hearted man, whose quiet strength, steadfast devotion, and gentle spirit touched everyone who knew him. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, brother-in-law and uncle, devoted to his family and to serving others with compassion and sincerity. He leaves behind a lasting legacy of faith, love, and kindness, which will continue to inspire all who knew him.

He is lovingly remembered by his devoted wife Kunjujamma, his beloved sons and daughters-in-law, his sister, and his extended family of sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, cousins, nephews, and nieces. Most of all, he will be wholeheartedly missed by his treasured grandchildren: Niya, Neha, Iva, Jayce, Jayden, Adam, and Noah.

The family of Mr. Rajan Thomas extends their heartfelt gratitude to all relatives and friends for their prayers, love, and support during this difficult time. Your kindness and comforting presence have been a source of great strength and peace.
