Today, I remember Kuya Sonny. His kindness, laughter, and unwavering spirit touched everyone around them. Whether it was a quiet moment shared or a joyful celebration, he brought warmth and light into our lives. He is no longer with us in body, his memory lives on in every story we tell, he always made me laugh from the time I was little and into adulthood. I’m sorry I am not able to come with my mom to say our final goodbye. Rest peacefully, Kuya Sonny. You are already deeply missed and forever loved. Love always, Emilly and Tiang Tina

Ahhhh.. Sonny - you have become the very first sibling that we’ve lost in our Po-Quilos-Velasco family. I cannot imagine this day would turn out like this. As the eldest, chances are that I would be first to go. But God takes who He wills, and since you have been suffering for awhile, in a way it seems to be a Mercy from God that your passing was as pain-free as possible. Kaya lang, the pain we are enduring right now is talagang masakit. So I guess, the only thing to do is to remember some of our good times to ease this pain somewhat. For me, my happy time with you is during cha-cha and bogey dances that we used to do at different time in our lives, like the time when we danced at Raymond and Mel’s wedding. That was a very happy time. Rest ka na Sonny. You have loved and had been loved.. that’s what matters. Love, Ate Baby

Uncle Sonny.. I remember po how you taught me to sing songs which you’d play on your acoustic guitar. “Mahiwaga” (Mystery) was one of our musical pieces together. I was less than 12 years old back then during one of our visits to see you, Tito Rolan and Lola Sario back in Pulog (your familial home in Balikbalik, in Manila). Your great skill at putting people at ease, and how you made time for us nieces and nephews, was a blessing and a great childhood memory for many of us. May your soul rest in peace and hope to see you again in the Life after this one.

Hey Sonny, my partner I’m sorry man. God bless you last time I saw you you say you came to say goodbye at the Forest Theatre as always it took me a while on this language you were saying ha ha ha just joking. We was the dynamic duel. God bless you, man you are so talented you could draw You spoke multi languages and you were loved by every customer around and you were just a big kid where they was taking home posters, Funko pops little toys or drawing or taking little comic books and pictures. Lord knows where you kept all that in your apartment, but you were very fun and entertaining and a funny dude goodbye My Friend
