Obituary of Eloise Pearl Ruffin

Born: April 7, 1933 Died: November 5, 2025 Eloise Pearl Ruffin, age 92, of Port Richmond, Staten Island, New York passed away on November 5, 2025. She was the loving mother of Tesfa Baruch, dear mother in law of Juliet Baruch, cherished grandmother of Addisalem, Issiah, Wessede, Messale and fond great grandmother of eighteen month old Messiah. She is also survived by many loving extended family and friends. Eloise otherwise known as Miss Ella was born in Charleston, South Carolina and raised in Harlem, New York. She graduated from Carvel High School in 1951 where she completed her studies in Accounting. Eloise was very good with numbers and budgeting. She was an excellent Data Entry Clerk who was very meticulous. She worked at the New York Stock Exchange for over 25 years after which she retired. She enjoyed travelling and has visited over 56 countries. She enjoyed dancing, gardening and watching her favorite television shows: Family Feud and Judge Judy. Miss Ella was very loving, caring and independent. She also enjoyed shopping for her grand children, sharing stories about her early life and recalling great memories. The Viewing from the Matthew Funeral Home Inc. 2508 Victory Boulevard will take place on Thursday from 2PM to 4:00PM and 7PM to 9:00PM. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, November 21, 2025 at 10:00AM. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, Bronx, New York on 11/21/25.
