Obituary of Orlando Jimenez, Jr.

It is with heavy hearts and deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved Orlando Jimenez who left this world on November 10, 2025. Though our hearts ache and grief, we take comfort in knowing he has found peace and eternal rest in God's embrace.

Orlando lived a life of quiet dedication guided by faith, loyalty, and love. He carried a spirit of adventure that never dimmed. From the skies he once leapt as a skydiver, to the depths he explored as a scuba diver.

Orlando joined KCDA as a driver in 1987 while studying at City College for Technology and went on to serve under four District Attorneys over nearly four decades, he became part of the fabric of this office, a constant presence and a trusted friend to generations of colleagues. For those in the command center and beyond, he would tackle whatever was needed. He always said he loved his job.
He is survived by his devoted sisters Brenda, Peggy, and Debbie, who loved him and stood by him. He was also a cherished Uncle, Godfather, friends. His Nieces, Nephews and Godchildren each held a special place in his heart, and he loved them as his own. His dog Sheka who has passed on, now surely walks beside him once again. He will also lay beside his beloved parents in Puerto Rico.

His absence leaves a silence that words cannot fill, but his presence remains in the memories, laughter and lessons he shared.

We release him with love knowing that this is not goodbye but a gentle "see you again".

Until we meet again, may his memory remind us to live boldly, love deeply, and walk faithfully with God.

Visitation at the Matthew Funeral Home, Inc., 2508 Victory Boulevard, on Saturday, 11/15, from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 9:00 PM.
