Obituary of Giusto Saliceti

Giusto Saliceti, 80, of Willowbrook, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday November 11, 2025, surrounded by family. He was the beloved husband of Matilde Saliceti for 56 years; loving father of Antonio and his wife Valerie, Giovanni and his wife Brenda, and Giusto Jr. and his wife Pilar; cherished grandfather of Dominick, Giulianna, Matilde Albertina, and Giorgia; dear brother to Margherita La Rosa and her late husband Pietro La Rosa and the late Anna Maria Baranello and her late husband Pasquale Baranello.  He was also loved and survived by many nieces and nephews.

Giusto was born in Campobasso, Italy in 1945, moved to Brooklyn, NY in 1969 and settled in Staten Island, NY in 1986.  By the age of 20, he had earned a degree in Mechanical Engineering and become proficient in masonry while working with his father. After moving to New York, he studied Computer Science and ultimately retired as a Director of Computer Programming for New York City.  He loved building and creating, often helping family and friends with projects.  He also loved music, hiking, making and drinking wine, woodworking, and was known and recognized for his elaborate Christmas decorations by the neighborhood. Most of all, he loved his family dearly; his wife, his children, grandchildren, and countless family and friends. Always supporting and caring for those around him, he was a man of uncompromising faith, love, and strength.
