Obituary of Ronald A. Rosa
Dr. Ronald A. Rosa, a Staten Island orthodontist passed away Thursday, November 13, at Staten Island University Hospital. Ronald attended St. Peter's High School, St. Peter's College in Jersey City and received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from New Jersey College of Medicine and Dentistry. Dr. Rosa was in private practice and was Chief, Section on Orthodontics at Interfaith Medical Center and Lutheran Medical Center until his retirement more than 10 years ago.
The light of his life after retirement was his rescue dog, Apollo. Most mornings they could be seen sitting on the front porch greeting passersby earning Apollo the nickname Mayor of Shore Acres.
Dr. Rosa is survived by his four nieces, Donna LaBella, Darlene Rosa, Dawn Romano and Danielle Ghiraldi. He is also survived by cherished friends, Patrick and Sandra Danza, Leonard, Sandra, Brandon and Bradley Sealy.
Family and friends may visit the Matthew Funeral Home, 2508 Victory Blvd, on Sunday 11/16 from 2-5 and 7-9 PM. A mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, 11/17 at St. Peter's Church at 11AM with interment to follow at St. Peter's Cemetery.
