Obituary of Maryann Quercia
Maryann (Bongiovanni) Quercia passed away peacefully on November 17, 2025 after a 5 -year battle with colon cancer. Up until the end Maryann maintained her kindness, grace, compassion, appreciation of beauty, and love of family and friends.
Maryann’s life can best be encapsulated by three "F" words: Family, Friends, and Fun. In her almost 79 years here with us she experienced an abundance of each. She loved being surrounded by family and friends, and was always the life of the party. Mare would always put smiles on the faces of whoever’s company she was in.
Mare was known for many things throughout the years; Master Hairdresser and QVC Queen, to name a few… but the one she’ll be most remembered by was her ability to take care of every single person who entered her home. A true gem of a person who appreciated all that life gave her. So strong in every obstacle that she encountered and battle she had to fight. Yet so forgiving, compassionate and nurturing with every person who crossed her path. She truly embodied the adage of a life well lived.
Maryann is survived by her daughter, Julee Quercia-Clarke; her son, Joseph Camenisch; and her daughter Tina Neos; her grandchildren, Vincent and Joseph Quercia; John, Gillian, Analisa and Kristina Neos; and Angelina Quercia; her daughter-in-law Tamika Quercia-Clarke; her son-in-law John Neos; and her brother-in-law Ray Behrman. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vincent Quercia Sr; her son, Vincent Quercia Jr; her parents, Leonard and Julia Bongiovanni; and her sisters Toni Bongiovanni and Lenore Behrman.
Funeral Services will be held at Matthew Funeral Home located at 2508 Victory Boulevard, Staten Island, NY on Thursday, November 20th from 1pm to 9pm.
