Edgar was the beloved husband of Cathy Ortiz, with whom he shared a lifetime of partnership, laughter, and love for over 47 years.  Together, they built a home filled with warmth, kindness, and deep family roots. He was the proud, devoted father of Chris and Rocco, whom he loved fiercely and supported unconditionally.

Edgar was cherished by his sisters and their families—Eileen, Elina, Edna, Elliot, and Edith, along with their spouses, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. His presence was a steady source of comfort, humor, and guidance within their lives. Family gatherings were brighter because he was in the room. Especially Christmas Eve; where he played Santa, made jokes and handed out gifts- it was a tradition; a memory now that will last a lifetime.

Above all, Edgar’s greatest pride and joy were his grandchildren, Juliana, Gabriella, Frankie, Christopher Jr. He never missed a basketball, baseball or football game. Whether cheering from the sidelines or offering the world’s best post-game pep talk, Edgar showed up—always. His grandchildren knew that no matter the day, the weather, or the distance, their grandfather would be there, smiling the biggest and loving the hardest.

Known as the man who could fix anything and everything, Edgar had an unmatched talent for repairing whatever was broken. Whether it was a stubborn appliance, a loose door hinge, or a worried heart. His hands were steady, his patience abundant, and his wisdom invaluable.

Edgar leaves behind a family who will forever carry his memory in their hearts; his love, his laughter, his stories, and his remarkable ability to make everyone feel cared for. His legacy will continue through the lives he touched and the countless moments he made better simply by being there.

He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered.
