Obituary of Grace E. Loggia

Grace Loggia, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, cousin and cherished friend to many, passed away peacefully on November 25th, 2025, in Staten Island, New York. She was 84 years old. Born on August 15th, 1941, in Brooklyn, to her loving parents Jean Arra & Phillip Messina, Grace grew up with a vibrant spirit and a heart full of generosity that she carried with her throughout her entire life. Grace was the beloved wife of the late Ralph Loggia, with whom she shared a lifetime of love, laughter, and family. She was a caring sister to her two siblings, Janet and Phillip, and a devoted mother to her three children: Chris, Nadine, and Robert. Nothing brought Grace more joy than her role as "Mama," and she treasured every moment spent with her six grandchildren—Bobby, Raquel, Gianna, Andrew, Kristen, and Ella— each of whom she adored deeply. A nurse by trade and by nature, Grace dedicated her career to caring for others with compassion, patience, and unwavering kindness. Her calm presence and warm smile brought comfort to countless patients and families over the years. Outside of her work, Grace lived a life filled with passion and simple joys. She loved to sing and dance, her laughter often filling the room as she moved to her favorite songs. Summers found her happily soaking up the sun, savoring every warm ray. Most of all, she loved to cook for her family—her kitchen was a gathering place where she poured love into every meal, creating traditions and memories that will be cherished forever. Grace's legacy is one of love, warmth, and generosity. She leaves behind a family that will continue to honor her spirit in the way they care for and hold one another. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her laughter, strength, and love will forever remain in the hearts of those who were blessed to know her. May she rest in eternal peace. Family and friends may visit the Matthew Funeral Home. 2508 Victory Blvd. on Monday 12/1 from 1-5 and 7-9 PM. Funeral Tuesday 12/2 departing at 10 AM. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Family at 10:30AM. Interment to follow at Moravian Cemetery.
