Obituary of Catherine M. Imp

Catherine Mary Imp, 88, of Bulls Head, passed away on December 8, 2025. She was the beloved wife of Raymond R. Imp (deceased) for 65 years; Loving mother of Jeannemarie Logan-DiMaso and son-in-law Joseph DiMaso, Steven G. Imp and daughter-in-law Helene. She was the cherished grandmother of Kerrilynn Shah and her husband Daniel, Brian Logan and his wife Hikaru Yamagishi, Jordan Imp, and Zachary Imp. Catherine was also the cherished great-grandmother of Noelle Shah, Nathan Shah, and Miku Yamagishi-Logan, and dear sister of Maryanne Keegan. A woman of strong faith, she spent her entire life in service to her family, who all loved her deeply. Born Catherine Mary Parisi on July 6, 1937, she met the love of her life Raymond while a 16-year-old student at Newtown High School in Elmhurst, New York. Her life was devoted to the love and care of her immediate and extended family. She particularly enjoyed cooking (her specialty was eggplant parmigiana), baking (most notably Christmas cookies), reading, watching movies and spending time at her "happy place" on Long Beach Island on the Jersey Shore. She maintained her sharp sense of humor even through the significant health issues of her later years. She was a selfless and loving soul who will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
