Obituary of John Raymond Davila

John Raymond Davila, 94, of Grymes Hill, Staten Island, a loving husband, father, grandfather and uncle, died Monday, December 15, 2025. John was born on December 12, 1931, graduated from Brooklyn College, married his wife Carol in Queens, and raised his family on Staten Island. He served in the Intelligence Division of the United States Army and was a small business owner in financial services for 40 years. John will be remembered for his patriotism, generosity, strong work ethic, passion for sports (especially the Brooklyn Dodgers and the NY Jets), love of animals and nature, and love of his children and grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Carol, his sons, James, Jeffrey, and Peter (Francine), his daughter, Jennifer (Justin), and his four grandchildren, Nathaniel, Alexander, Jesse, and Brady. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, December 19th at 11 a.m. at St. Sylvester's Church. Interment to follow at St. Peter's Cemetery, on Staten Island. In lieu of flowers, donations to the National Park Foundation, ASCPA, or the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
